How this build came together

Adam and Rebecca loved Shailer Park, but with two growing boys, they were bursting at the seams. They wanted a smart way to stay in the area while future-proofing their property—creating a space for their sons down the track, while immediately providing a light-filled, disability-accessible home for Becky's parents.
The site itself threw up some solid zoning and structural hurdles. To give both households genuine independence, the clients wanted a completely separate private driveway. We successfully navigated the auxiliary dwelling application to secure council approval for a new vehicle crossover. Before we could even start framing, we also had to coordinate the demolition and removal of existing concrete and old structures to clear the footprint.
As Adam puts it: "Our decision to choose Kiadom was their flexibility and upfront honesty. Greg was realistic about the challenges, and unlike other builders, they let us tinker with the layouts to put our personal touch on it. We wanted to maximize the space with high ceilings, plenty of natural light, and wide access for Becky's parents."
The final result is a premium 80m², two-bedroom home complete with a matching double carport and a spacious alfresco patio. Adam tracked the progress daily, watching the backyard transform from an old concrete slab into a stunning modern dwelling that gives the family the exact privacy and long-term flexibility they were looking for.
