The story
How this build came together
Completed 2023
Richelle and Paul wanted a comfortable, independent home for Richelle's father on their acreage property, designed with long-term flexibility in mind. The big picture was to create a space that could seamlessly support multigenerational living, eventually rotating to serve three generations of the family over the coming years.
Because the property offered a generous acreage footprint, we were able to nestle the secondary dwelling well away from the primary residence. To guarantee a genuine sense of independence, we established a completely separate entrance and private driveway access. We also integrated a large double carport with excellent clearance, perfectly suited for easily parking large vehicles, boats, or a caravan without encroaching on the main house.
With both clients working exceptionally long hours, they needed a building team they could trust implicitly to manage the site cleanly without interrupting their daily work routines.
As Richelle notes: "The brief we gave was that we wanted a home that my dad was happy, comfortable and proud to live in—this home is all of that and more. It totally suits our property and blends in with the natural setting. We are very particular, and we could not fault the building expertise and attention to detail."
The completed home features warm timber finishes that complement the surrounding trees, balanced with high ceilings and sleek highlight windows that flood the open kitchen and living area with natural light. It delivers the perfect mix of connected family living and total backyard privacy.
